This corner unit has a fabulous, unobstructed 270-degree view of the lake—the best of Rocky Ridge--yet its location also makes it very private. As you enter, there’s a half bathroom and a closet for your winter and summer gear. Off to the right is the well-equipped kitchen and a laundry room. From the kitchen you enter the open-plan dining and living areas that have picture-perfect lake views on two sides and include a wet bar, a table for games or extra dining space and a sleeper sofa. When it’s cool you can enjoy a cozy fire in the vaulted living area and watch TV or a movie while taking in the view. In warmer times, the two sliding glass doors will draw you onto to the deck where you can lounge, eat, or prepare meals on the Weber gas grill. Upstairs, there are four bedrooms; the first two face the front of the unit with a Queen-sized bed in one and a King-sized bed in the other. A bedroom/office with a daybed and optional pop-up trundle has a desk with good lighting and an ergonomic chair. There’s full bathroom with a tub to serve those three rooms. The main bedroom has a King-sized bed with a private deck, and an ensuite vanity area and bathroom with a large shower. The deck at the entry to the unit has a large closet you can use for skis or any other sports gear. The development is close to all that Tahoe City has to offer, with a supermarket, drugstore, restaurants, sights and other shopping you can reach in a few minutes. Rocky Ridge is a gated community of 60 acres surrounded by State Forest Land, where you can enjoy nature on one of the many hiking or mountain biking trails just steps away. Amenities include two swimming pools, two spas (one of which is open all winter long), tennis, pickleball, basketball, a playground, a bocce ball court and a private beach with pier, buoys, BBQ facilities, clubhouse and volleyball court.

    I have stayed at Rocky Ridge many times. This unit is dated but clean and comfortable. Sadly, we were looking forward to the beautiful pool overlooking the lake. It was closed as were both spas. We should have been notified. Additionally,maybe due to heat,there were flying insects small enough to come through the screens. Over the three nights we were there they built up to a significant nuisance.

    Amazing views, but unit is severely outdated...nothing has been done in 30 yrs. This includes old shag carpeting, dated bedding, 70's themed decor, two broken recliners, a couch with lumps, lights didn't work, spider webs in windows, cleaning service was questionable...dirty dishes in the cabinets and drawers, floors weren't mopped, etc.. Being so dated, we wondered about the deep cleanliness of the floors, beds, bathrooms, and furniture. Owners should invest in this rental if they continue to charge high rates.

    Gorgeous condo in eye popping setting,a bit of a problem with the Internet that was fortunately solved, could use some more comfy living room furniture for more than 4 people, fabulous passive solar to reduce heating costs, very well equipped. Management terrific! Winter maintenance absolutely perfect.
