This Rocky Ridge vacation rental is an end unit and at the end of the complex, situated on a rocky bluff that overlooks the south and east shores of Lake Tahoe. Surrounded by trees, it is hard to imagine a better spot to enjoy all that Tahoe has to offer. In this private setting, you will find a four-bedroom two and a half-bath condo that has been carefully updated and well maintained. Upon entering you will find a half bathroom and a closet for your winter and summer gear. Off to the side is the well-equipped kitchen and a laundry room. From the kitchen, you enter the dining area that overlooks the lake. There is a wet bar between the separated dining and living room with vaulted ceilings and a modern gas fireplace with rock surround. The hardwood floors, granite countertops and comfortable furnishings make this rental feel like home. There are two sliding glass doors in the living and dining area that will take you out to the deck where you will enjoy spectacular views and BBQing on the gas BBQ. Up the stairs you find the first of the of three guest rooms, this room has two Twin beds as does the guest room next to it. The shared full bathroom is just down the hall. The third guest bedroom is next to the master and has a Queen size bed. The Master features a King size bed, a private full bathroom and small deck with a bistro set to enjoy the view. There is Wifi. One well-mannered pet is allowed, please not on the furniture. The development is close to all that Tahoe City has to offer. Rocky Ridge is a gated community of 60 acres surrounded by State Forest Land, where you can enjoy nature on one of the many hiking or mountain biking trails just steps away. Amenities include 2 swimming pools, 2 spas, tennis, basketball, playground, Bocce Ball court and a private beach with pier, buoys, BBQ facilities, clubhouse and volleyball court. Every vacation condo rental offers vaulted mountain-style ceilings, beautiful rock fireplaces, fully equipped kitchens, all set in an open two-story floor plan.

All of our rentals come with fully equipped kitchens; most kitchens do not have pantry items due to wildlife concerns. We provide all linens and towels; most units have beach towels as well. There is a washer and dryer in every rental. Every unit has Wi-Fi. There is NO A/C, this is not commonly found in Tahoe, there are fans.

  We love Rocky Ridge and have been visiting every summer for over 20 years. We have stayed in Unit 5 for many years. We like the layout and size of the unit. We do think that some of the bedding, curtains and carpeting could be updated or cleaned more often and the appliances and the amenities in the kitchen could be updated.

  We had a great time and the condo served our needs. We did have a problem with the hot water. Not enough for 9 people even with staggered showers and doubling up (moms and daughters). Also, the pipes bang every time someone flushes a toilet so it wakes people up if you use the bathroom in the early morning hours. We have stayed here before and this seemed to be new.
  We enjoyed the private beach and the walking trails. It is a favorite location.

  Loved the Rocky Ridge Resort. A gated community atop a hill with great view of the lake from Unit #5. You can walk right into the woods. We will definitely stay again. Quiet end unit. Not all the units in this complex have a view of the lake, but all are on the lovely grounds. Rocky Ridge is exceptionally, beautifully landscaped and maintained. Beautiful pool with lake views, hot tubs, tennis, bocci and a playground for our 18 month old grandchild. Quick ride down to the private beach with parking and a clubhouse. Safeway is a short drive away as well. The mattreses in the twin rooms could be replaced, and the outside seat cushions could be as well - that is the only reason I gave it a 4 star.

  We loved staying in #5 Rocky Ridge. The home has a spacious downstairs and the bedrooms were adequate for our group. The kitchen lacks some essentials and the lighting upstairs is lacking. None of the wall switches work the lights so you have to rely on the small lamps in the bedrooms. We ran out of hot water often causing one of our family members to use the bathroom at the pool to shower. The condo location and view make the other things tolerable, but they should be addressed.

  I've rented several different condos at Rocky Ridge and have been very pleased; #5 not so much. The view, of course, is wonderful. A caution about renting a condo with four bedrooms upstairs - master and both bathrooms are very small. The owners attention to detail was disappointing. There wasn't one king-sized blanket or comforter that I could find, just the bedspread, there is only one drawer in the masters, there are only two small, juice sized glasses in the unit, the wifi goes up and down, no soap bars in the bathrooms, some of the bathroom towels were stained, etc. I would always recommend Rocky Ridge, just a different unit.

  This was the best rental we’ve had yet. The views of the lake and location were fantastic. The private beach and pools made it even better. My only suggestion would be new cushions for the patio furniture and new sheets and pillows. Otherwise it was perfect. Had a great time.

  The condo is very nice but is limited to family stays with only one couple. My husband and I had a really hard time sleeping in the twin bedroom. He is 6'2" and I am 5'5" and it did not work well. The views are amazing at this unit and I love staying on the end. There were some big spiders in the unit but I know that the condos are in the hills and that happens. Not sure if you spray for those so I just wanted to let someone know just in case.

  The property was in fantastic condition as it was recently remodeled. The decor, furnishings, and view are great and we had plenty of room for the 8 of us who stayed there. The only issue was with the master bath toilet which overflowed and water streamed out of the light canisters in the kitchen below. There was too much water for just a typical TP blockage and still unsure as to what happened. Overall a great vacation.
