Reynolds Charming West Shore Cabin

Built in 1955, this charming Lake Tahoe cabin captures the authentic, cozy spirit of Tahoe’s Magical West Shore. Set back on a spacious half-acre lot just minutes from Tahoe City, it offers a private, wooded retreat for up to 8 guests and one well-mannered pet.

Full of classic character and unique vintage idiosyncrasies—including two separate staircases leading to different upstairs sleeping quarters—this home is as delightfully original as it is welcoming. Upon entering, you'll find a cozy living area featuring high whitewashed ceilings and a stone gas-burning fireplace, flanked by a well-equipped kitchen and dining space.

Sleeping & Bath Layout:

Primary Suite (Main Level): Queen bed, full en-suite bathroom, large closet, access to the garage, and French doors leading out to a private backyard deck.

Loft & Bedroom 2 (Upstairs via Staircase 1): A full bathroom at the foot of the stairs leads up to a loft area and a snug bedroom with a Double bed.

Bedrooms 3 & 4 (Upstairs via Staircase 2): A second set of stairs leads to two additional bedrooms—one with two Twin beds and another airy room with a Queen bed.

Outside, enjoy room to play in the snow during winter or store all your outdoor equipment in the large garage/shed. Kilner Park is nearby with tennis courts, volleyball, a playground, and 7 acres of wooded trails. You’re also moments away from Sunnyside Resort, Firesign Cafe, local markets, and ski shuttles/resorts (Homewood, Alpine Meadows, and Palisades Tahoe).

Good to Know:

Climate: Like most traditional Tahoe homes, there is NO A/C, but fans are provided.

Amenities: Fully equipped kitchen (no pantry items due to wildlife), washer/dryer, linens/towels, and Wi-Fi.

  The cabin was indeed "charming" and the location ws ideal. The negative issue for us was three of the four bedrooms were upstairs and the bathrooms were downstairs. The stairs were difficult for the seniors that were with us so our multigenerational holiday together was disappointing. If we had a better idea of the layout we would have declined this property and chosen one more suitable for our group.

  This was a group of "women of a certain age". We had a great time, hiking, eating, talking, playing games. The cabin was perfect. Plenty of room & comfy. I gave it five stars even though the furniture & appointments are older because the fee is commiserate with the age of the cabin/appointments.The cabin has the feel of a beloved family getaway, which is what we all wanted. Thanks for sharing. Service was fine from the managing company. Mike was very helpful.

  We came to the Tahoe area to surprise and visit our daughter who was working there for the summer. This cabin was perfect for us - close to her work establishment and even some hiking right out the door. The home was exactly as described with plenty of amenities and very clean.   We loved our stay at the Reynolds Charming west Shore Cabin. The cabin has plenty of room and with two bathrooms worked out perfectly for us. We were up there during some hot weather so the upstairs was quite hot but the breeze helped cool things down and they had plenty of fans.

  Overall we were satisfied. We were happy that we were allowed to bring our dogs. A few suggestions: a book should be available in the living room regarding things to do and restaurants, including restaurants that allow dogs. We had to figure it out on our own. There were two areas that had a lot of cobwebs. One was above where the thermostat was. It would have been really helpful to have wi-fi instead of finding coffee shops that had it. The reading lights by the bed were out and there weren't any in the laundry room to replace them with.

  Shower in MBath was very small for a large adult! No towel racks! Unable to regulate the heat to a comfortable lever. Upper BR was cold and lower BR was way too hot!
